I’ve knocked together a little WordPress plugin for my Social Media Bookmark + icon set. At the moment it contains a couple of useful functions to add the icons into your WordPress website/blog (read on for full explanation of these) and of course contains all the icons in it too! This will be updated every time the icon set is updated.
Just like the icon set, I want you to suggest things you’d like to see in the plugin. It may be a feature that already exists in similar plugins but you’d just like my icons in place or a completely new feature that you’re dying to get on your website, so please shoot some suggestions in the comments.
What the plugin does and how to use it
Easily add icons through WordPress posts/pages/comments
Now you can add icons super-easily! Use this little snippet below in your content, excerpt or comments fields for the icon to appear.
[twitter 32]
This will generate a Twitter icon at 32×32 pixels. Just replace ‘twitter’ with any icon name in the set (no spaces or hyphens) and ‘32′ with any of the available sizes (32, 16, button).
Add icons into your theme files
This is just as easy as adding icons into your content! Place this snippet into any of your theme files and replace ‘twitter’ with any icon name in the set (no spaces or hyphens) and ‘32′ with any of the available sizes (32, 16, button).
<?php echo icon('twitter', '32'); ?>

So… wait? It doesn’t make the icons link anywhere? =/

At the moment it doesn’t. But as I said, suggest features and they will be added. Do you want something (for example) that would add the icons to the bottom of the post then automatically set up links for Digg, Twitter etc…?
The initial release was aimed at people wanting to add icons to their website and allow them to put personalised profile links.

You have a great complete list icon. I use the button, with “share” beside it.
Thanks
